Yassi Metgalchi is a lovely Parisian passionate about Art. With her family she decided to open an Art gallery dedicated to inspiring Persian artists. Nicolas Flamel was a successful French scrivener and manuscript-seller. He had the reputation of an alchemist. The gallery Nicolas Flamel is a contemporary art gallery established in 2008 in Paris by Fathali Metghalchi and his wife Kimia Derambakhsh. Located in the heart of the Parisian art scene, it is in the historic and trendy neighborhood of “the Marais”, just a few steps from the Pompidou Museum. Managed and curated by Fathali Metghalchi, Hessam Khalatbari, Yassi Metghalchi, the gallery is dedicated to exhibiting and promoting international contemporary artists with a primary focus on Iranian contemporary artists to a global audience. The gallery was named after the famous alchemist Nicolas Flamel who used to live in the oldest house in Paris, in the same street of the gallery back in the 15th century. He used to practice his works in what is now the basement of the gallery.
