Vladimir Sillam is a young filmmaker. He is a true Parisian even though he decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dream: becoming a movie director. We can easily feel his sensitivity in his work. How do you feel about  French people? Mixed. What is Parisian Flair for you? An awesome new website created by a witty stylish Parisian girl. What is romanticism? A 19th century poetic and literary movement. Are you romantic? Depends on what drink I had. Where did you have your most impressive French kiss? Outside a bar in Manhattan. Your perfect French dinner? Steak Tartare. Your favorite French wine? Pouilly fumée. Favorite French desert? Profiteroles. What is your Madeleine de Proust? Shalimar  by Guerlain perfume. Last French movie you saw? Jeune & Jolie” by François Ozon . Erotic, provocative but lacking a point of view. Favorite French movie? “Van Gogh” by Maurice Pialat. Favorite movie quote? “I’m going to denounce you, my little stupid bitch“/ “Je vais vous dénoncer, ma p’tite connasse.” in “Kings and Queens” /  “Rois et Reine ” by Arnaud Desplechin

Favorite French actor? Ramzi Bedia. Which French contemporary artist? Pierre Huyghe. What is your favorite place in France? Les Baux de Provence. What is the place that feels the most French in California? Pacific Palisades?. What do you miss most about France? Being able to drink alcohol in the street. If you had 3000 euro and you could only buy one fashion item? I’d buy a random jacket and sew Parisian Flair in golden/diamond letters. What is the quintessential French look? French I dunno. Parisian : a scarf and a cigarette. The French book that most moved you? laminations d’Arthur Rimbaud.

Your favorite French word? Why? “Nocturne” / “Nocturnal”, it sounds mysterious
